When you think of Easter, the next accompanying thought may not be murder. (Or at least I hope not, ya psycho.) But to this maniac, there was no better week.

The Lord Is My Shepherd by Debbie Viquié

Rated A

It’s morbid but not gory. Details, when given, are not nauseating. They’re given in enough light for suspense and a little bit of “ew”, but it doesn’t keep you up at night.

I must admit, the first three chapters met with my “meh” like attitude. What was I comparing it to, Agatha Christie? Ha, yes. BUT, I had no idea what a ride I was in for! As you can see, my meh was quickly discarded in return for a gaping mouth and intense concentration.

Let’s play a game of imagination! You’re walking into church to complete some secretarial work, but oh, would ya looky there! You tripped over a dead body! Along with it, you discover the implanted knife. What a refreshing way to start the day! But does it stop there? Oh no! Murder upon ghastly murder await you. In the streets, at your manicure salon, the madness is everywhere! Not only that, but each represents an event during biblical Easter week. What kind of a sick psycho is this, and why does he seem to be targeting you as his audience? Welcome to Cindy’s new world!

This church secretary, a local rabbi, and the ever faithful police are pitted against the renowned Passion Week Serial Killer. They must piece together the Easter/Passover story to predict his next move. What’s even behind the mania? Surely there has to be a reason! What triggered it?

There is so much more, but I can’t spoil everything! Pick up your own copy here.

I can’t wait to read more from THE PSALM 23 MYSTERIES series. Who knows, they might become my new favorites!
